This fundamental story poses one of the central questions of the Old Testament: to whom does man owe allegiance, himself or God? As we investigate Abraham’s character – man of fear or ruthless fanatic? – modern themes rear ugly heads, and humor transforms into terror. Performed by American and Brazilian actors, this physical clown piece is an international collaboration of epic proportions.

Four Clowns was hawarded a grant from the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs to work with The Stanislavsky Institute in São Paulo, Brazil on Abraham & Isaac, a piece in their Old Testament Series.
